Alexander Hansen, founder and 6th-7th cohort lead
Hi all! My name’s Alex. I’ve been teaching middle school math in Paterson school district since 2017, and I’m very happy in my role. I currently teach 7th grade, and have taught 6th grade as well.
I really like to travel and stay busy, really whatever keeps me from doom scrolling youtube.
I currently live in Montclair, NJ, and just this year I’ve taken up yoga, which I’ve found has help to keep me centered and healthy.
While I’m not involved in day to day student cohort operations, I perform the initial in person student cohort onboardings. I also currently run all monthly grade updates/student + family check ins.
I am the founder of JerseyLearns, and I’m proud of the team and service we’ve developed.
Feel free to reach me by text message at any time at 908-334-5605 or by email at ahansen@jerseylearns.com.
Thanks again for the opportunity and privilege of making a meaningful, positive impact in your son and/or daughter’s life!

Eric Larro, Monday/Wednesday cohort one lead
Hey all, I’m Mr. Larro. I love helping students see that math can make sense and even be fun! I’ve taught middle school math for over a decade and now work as a Math Supervisor, supporting teachers and students alike. With my experience and enthusiasm, I feel I create a learning environment where every student feels confident to ask questions, try new strategies, and grow their math skills.
Looking forward to getting started in February!

Julian Garcia Monday Wednesday cohort one TA
Hi everyone, my name is Julian Garcia, and I’m a college student pursuing a degree in Finance with a minor in Economics. I currently serve as a mentor in the Gear Up College Bound program, where I support students in their academic and personal growth. In high school, I was recruited to wrestle at Princeton University, a Division 1 school, before an injury changed my path. I remain dedicated to health and wellness, regularly training and competing in races. I look forward to supporting students and excited to meet you all!
